Developed two region-specific versions of Bee Cheng Hiang’s next-generation price label system, starting with test use in Japan, followed by a tailored rollout in South Korea.The labels were designed for in-house production in each region, with a focus on practical layout, brand consistency, and multilingual adaptability.
Led the visual and structural redesign of the price labels, ensuring the layout worked seamlessly for Japanese and Korean typography. Collaborated with local teams to create a print-ready, scalable system that could be implemented quickly and flexibly across regions.
Product placement directly informed the label hierarchy. I designed layouts that made prices and item names easy to scan in-store, especially in a busy retail environment.
This project reflects how I approach in-house design — with a focus on real-world use, operational efficiency, and regional audience needs.
Because I understand Korean and Japanese, I was able to tailor two distinct next-generation label versions that respected each region’s typographic structure and user expectations.
Though the design appears minimal, every detail was crafted to ensure the system is functional, scalable, and future-ready for Bee Cheng Hiang.
