As part of my responsibility overseeing design assets for the Japan market, I worked on retail deco branding for Bee Cheng Hiang’s pop-up outlets, including a prominent location at Ginza SIX, Tokyo. Each pop-up space required custom-designed visual panels and wall branding, tailored to the layout and atmosphere of the specific venue.

My Role
Location-Specific Design Adaptation:
- Designed visual branding for storefront facades, walls, and display panels based on the unique layout of each pop-up site
- Ensured the artwork fit spatially and aesthetically within premium retail environments like Ginza SIX
Image & Print Quality Management:
- Checked and prepared all images for large-format printing, ensuring no pixelation or loss of quality at scale
- Adjusted color values and layout placement to account for on-site lighting and material finishes
Panel & Facade Layout Design:
- Created a clean and modern retail presence that balanced Bee Cheng Hiang’s heritage with contemporary presentation
- Collaborated with the Japan team to ensure the designs aligned with local customer expectations and venue guidelines

Design Approach
- Context-Aware Branding: Treated each pop-up site as a standalone experience, adapting design tone and layout according to venue type and traffic flow
- Premium Minimalism: For high-end environments like Ginza SIX, focused on elevated visuals with minimal clutter, allowing the product and brand story to speak clearly
- Scale-Conscious Execution: Designed with image scalability and panel production constraints in mind — ensuring that what looks good on screen translated well in physical space
Outcome
- Delivered tailored deco branding that elevated Bee Cheng Hiang’s presence in prestigious retail locations like Ginza SIX
- Ensured high-resolution, color-accurate visuals across large display formats
- Strengthened brand presentation in Japan through adaptive, site-specific design strategy
- Provided design layouts that were both visually impactful and production-ready
